Web presence provides enhanced communication with local citizens & Site Selector community
June 25, 2015 (ONEONTA, NY) — Otsego Now today announced the launch of its highly anticipated new web site at www.otsegonow.com. The site, which is the culmination of a six-month branding project that began last September, is expected to enhance the IDA’s refurbished image and message, packaged under the Otsego Now brand.
OtsegoNow.com provides simple and intuitive navigation for any site visitor, whether a local business owner, a site selector, a job seeker in search of training, or an interested community member. “We are thrilled to have a professional web site as a dynamic communication tool providing a clear vision with detailed project information for all to experience”, emphasized Elizabeth Horvath, Agency COO.
Other site features include:
- Quality and detailed information regarding the County of Otsego IDA, workforce training opportunities, and other related project and development related activities;
- Photographs, maps and descriptions of sites available for development, undergoing the local approval process, and buildings available for lease;
- Two informative e-newsletters for local citizens and regional partners highlighting general progress and activities of Otsego Now and the more detailed effort in the area of workforce development and the workings of the anticipated workforce training center; and
- The Otsego Now blog, called The Hub, where readers can view and discuss articles relating to sustainable economic growth in Otsego County.
The IDA retained Cooperstown-based Paperkite Creative (www.paperkitecreative) to design and build the new web site. “We were particularly pleased to be able to contract with a local firm for this work,” said Robert Hanft, Chairman of the IDA Board. “Paperkite’s familiarity with the community has been important and a key factor in the project’s success.” Paperkite’s experienced and creative staff also led the overall re-branding effort.
