For this project, Skyline Hospitality will acquire approximately 6 acres of land located at 4882 State Highway 28, in the town of Hartwick, NY, for the construction of a 60,000sqft.     Systematic Power Manufacturing d/b/a IOXUS – Product Line Expansion

    The Town of Oneonta has been awarded $750,000 in NYS CDBG Economic Development funds to assist IOXUS with manufacturing equipment, equipment testing, supplies and materials needed to expand their product line in the Town of Oneonta, NY. The grant application was written and submitted to NYS CDBG by Otsego Now.   IOXUS currently produces ultracapacitors and is expanding into lithium battery production at its Oneonta facility.  The new owner of the company has developed a new lithium-ion battery at their existing facility in Tennessee and is looking to manufacture the same component in Oneonta.   The estimated total project cost …Read More »

    • Firm Studies Environmental Impact of Redeveloping Oneonta Rail Yards

      The Daily Star | Whitney Bashaw January 9, 2019   ONEONTA — Two representatives from the Delaware Engineering presented the results of the generic environmental impact statement on developing the Oneonta Rail Yards to the community development committee at City Hall on Wednesday. Delaware Engineering was hired by Otsego Now, the county’s Industrial Development Agency, to conduct an environmental impact study on the 80-acre site off of Chestnut Street and Fonda Avenue, which is owned partially by Ostego Now, private owners and Delaware and Hudson Railway.     • First Stage of Oneonta Rail Yards Gets Approved

      WKTV | Zhane Caldwell May 15, 2018   ONEONTA — Oneonta Common Council voted unanimously to approve the first stage of the city’s proposed rail yard on Tuesday. Developers are looking to create a new industrial/commercial business park that would create new jobs for Oneonta. Along with creating jobs, the rail yards would provide additional markets for Otsego County, and add to the local tax base. Public hearings are located in the city/town of the prospective project. All meetings and public hearings are live-streamed on GoToMeeting and later posted to the agency’s YouTube channel.
